CMCI鈥檚 new associate dean to focus on diversity, equity and inclusion

For the past 25 years, Communication Professor Karen Ashcraft has researched the dynamics of race and gender in organizations ranging from women鈥檚 shelters to commercial airlines.
Starting this academic year, Ashcraft is applying her knowledge, and her past university administrative experience, to an organization much closer to home: She is the College of Media, Communication and Information鈥檚 first-ever associate dean of diversity, equity and inclusion.
