As an LA Program Teaching Professor, Sarah teaches courses including Becoming a Teaching Assistant, the LA Mentor Weekly Prep Meeting, and supports LA program development.ÌýÌý

SarahÌýhas pursued dual interestsÌýin biologyÌýand education across her career. She started teaching biology and physics in the late 90s and started teachingÌýteachers while in grad school. Sarah then worked in education and institutional change research for 18 years. She helpedÌýdevelop the Departmental Action Team Project, which promotes healthy departmental change processesÌýengagingÌýstudents, staff, and faculty. Along the way, she has worked with faculty, staff and students in EBIO, MCDB, PHYS, APS, CHEM, ATOC, GEOL, ECEE, ECCS, RLST, LING, SASC, CIRES, CTL, ASSETT, and at CSU (TILT). Sarah earned a Bachelor’s in biology from Swarthmore College,Ìýa teaching certificate in PA, a Master’s in secondary education from SFSU, and a Ph.D. in biology from CU.ÌýÌý
